getting too old for this! :D

I feel exhausted today!

my weekend was packed ... of course. Friday after work I went to babysit my sweet baby
Jenna:) who is not that much of a baby anymore! she is almost 10 months old :( sad, but it was just her and I that night and she was so sweet and cuddly:) I even rocked both of us to sleep at one point lol guess I wanted a nap too. it was a late night and I should have slept in some Saturday to make up for it but I didn't!

I got up early and went to my great aunts, did her grocery shopping and we played cards - I stayed there till about 1:30 then I met Laura at home and we went swimming for a few hours, which makes you very sleepy by the way:) and then we went back to my house and cooked dinner for our boys and then Kelly, Laura, Preston, Jessie, Michael and I all went to see *Grown Ups* it was so funny! I went to bed around 11 and slept like a rock! had a great Saturday just a little tired from it all.... im not as young as i used to be haha

Sunday we cleaned our house and did mountains of laundry and we had lunch with Preston's grandparents and then stuffed ourselves even more at marble slab .... I have cookie dough with sprinkles .. can you say heaven? we were supposed to watch a movie at their house with them and grandmother had bought one the other day but when Preston opened it up ( it was completely sealed) there was NO MOVIE in the case! how funny. we went home from their house around 3:15 and went swimming with Laura and Kelly again till about 5:30. when we got home Preston passed out! and I followed at 6:30. that was a mistake. we woke up around midnight WIDE AWAKE and didn't go back to sleep till around 1 or 2 and I felt like I didn't sleep at all after that second round. 6 am came fast and my eyes were still burning till around 8. so thankful we dont have patients today. last week was very busy at work and at home and I was just on the go all the time. im hoping to slow down a little this week and recuperate

but then again its a 3 day Holiday weekend coming up and I know we'll be somewhere every night and at the lake during the day so im thinking im going to really overdue it again this weekend :D

our vacation/honeymoon cruise is 5 weeks away! or 34 days:) I cant wait! we probably wont get another vacation for 5 years so have to make this one count haha! it will be nice to be worry free for a whole week! coming back to reality will not be fun. hope we all have a good week!!

progress....

this week ... has been something :) but i cant complain too much. i have tried to do more than go home and sleep this week and im doing pretty good! monday night i went to Kelly Anne's and watched army wives and got the scoop on stuff, tuesday night i spent with my husband and we ate dinner with my uncle - good times. tonight i had Laura over:) we walked 3 miles and talked ... a lot, like girls do:) then we looked online and picked out our first dish to make - we're going to start cooking one night a week so she can learn and i can have the practice because i never cook anymore. this will be fun:) bff girl time is the best! i also had to have a cookie fix today and of course they were so cute and yummy and im not going to lie ... i only have ONE left and i didn't share with anyone! i had 4 for breakfast! omg. aren't they cute though?!!

and i got preston some choc. chip :) he was happy. Laura ate one tonight and i had to make an order for her! lol. because yes - they are that good! and i got two choc, chip cookie sandwiches, one made it to work with me ... one was gone when i got home ... im thinking preston ate it :( cry cry

and Laura's mama (Janet) sent this to me:) so cute. i love monogrammed things! and since i always have a can on my desk at work ill use it every day! love it THANK YOU JANET :D

need a rest! :D

busy week, busy weekend. . . I need a day to rest after the weekend! last week was so exhausting for some reason and it wasn't even near as busy as this week is going to be, Friday night I got home from work at 5:20ish, I sat on the bed to check FB, blogs & emails and next thing I know its 3 am and I wake up and realize im still fully dressed for work! apparently I was tired and passed out at 5:30! still full daylight outside then too :) but those 12-13 hours of sleep were wonderful. Saturday we ( Michelle, Kelly, Laura, laura's mom Janet, Billy, Ally, Chris, Candel & I ) spent 8+ hours decorating ONE ROOM for VBS!! but it turned out great! of course because its Michelle's room and we always go all out! wish I had photos from years past , we have done some really cool rooms. I was on my hands and knees tracing *planks* onto brown paper to build our pirate ship around the baby grand piano for over an hour . . . 32 feet of paper to trace on. oh . . my . . .gosh. they are still tender today! Sunday was a packed day too, Preston mowed the whole yard Sunday morning ... yay! I finished cleaning the house and laundry then we went to my parents for lunch and stayed there till about 3:15 then we came home and changed clothes and went to Preston's grandparents house for dinner. we only stayed there a couple of hours then we went to the candy store ( aka walgreens) to get some stuff for my candy drawer at work ... then I ran off and left it all this morning at home :( boo. then I went home and got in bed. Monday morning sure does come fast ...this week is packed at work, hopefully I'll get to sleep early this week, 44 patients a day on 3 days this week...b-u-s-y!!

I am so ready for vacation! we have 6 weeks as of today to go! woohoo! I hope its as good as im dreaming it is :) its going to be fun regardless because we'll have lots of friends with us! the Barrett's, the McCurley's and the Ware/Gaines people :)

Lorri has been ssssssssoooooo kind as to let me lay/swim in her pool so Laura and I are going to try and keep a little color on us before our trip! so we blend in bahahaha!

on a previous post I talked about what a bore my day to day life has become and although I had a lot of suggests to *have a baby* ill never be bored again ... lol I do not think that is what im going to do right now:) Laura and I are in the same boat with that whole thing, we go to work/school come home and get in bed and do nothing ... every day pretty much so we decided to do something together a few times a week, I mean you're not bored if you're doing something (anything!) with someone right? :) right. starting this week ... Wednesday ... not sure what we are going to do, we could talk about wedding stuff and freak Laura out .... :) She is getting married .... sometime towards the very end of next year and all of the planning is a bit stressful for her, I totally understand! I did it all in 8 months and changed my mind quite a few times. Laura, girl you have 18+ months that we can plan and change minds about a hundred times :) this will be fun .. it will! anyway I need some girl time and we'll think of something to do to occupy ourselves:)

well im going to spend time with my husband before my bed time .... at 8 :D good night!

Man, do i have an exciting life ...

I get up at 6am (except for when i over sleep like today, sorry Lorri!) get ready for work

drive to work

work till lunch

go to lunch

go back to work

go home at 5

get home and eat and drink something

get in bed and play on the laptop

watch tv

do word search puzzles - just got a new book of them today! woohoo!!!!

go to sleep - usually between 7:30 & 9

how depressing. really

now some nights i go wild and i babysit after work ( like this week i will thurs, fri. night ;) )

we even occasionally have our friends over for games and food, sometimes we even go out in public and go to dinner, play putt putt like once a year:) and go grocery shopping! but for the most part ..... the above is my daily routine. i know, very sad for a newlywed 23,24 yr old couple. Preston really goes out more than me, he goes to his friends a lot and would every night if i didn't make him spend at least one a week with me :) he likes to play disc golf, ride his bike and just doing anything that keeps him on the go. i cant help that im a home body, i take after my daddy for sure!

now on the weekends i do a bit more than during the week, although i really am tired of this boring weekly routine and need something fun to do to occupy my time, i need friends - oh i have those, just need to see them! (lyndee, Laura!) lolSaturdays i almost always go to my great aunts and do stuff with/for her ( grocery shopping, cleaning) and we play hours of skip-bo. Sunday is church day and we go to my inlaws a lot of Sunday nights so the weekend i am on the go a lot . . . which is probably why i hate Monday so much because i am so worn out that the rest of the week im just dragging. i need ideas of things to do during the week ... i need a hobby and i need things to do with my husband ... things that dont cost a small fortune to do. ah, what a challenge.... a challenge that NEEDS to be conquered! before cabin fever takes over my life! :D

A New Day

Waking up in the morning, I sometimes feel like "it sucks to be me" and rightly so sometimes I guess, but I'm working on it. My life really is blessed and sometimes I forget that. As for myself and how I feel...I'm making progress. I'm really trying to see the good in everything right now. It's kinda hard to try and change your lifestyle, it's a work in progress. Everything is going to be ok because life goes on and you just learn to roll with the punches. . . right?

I worry .... too much ... all the time. sometimes its hard to relax because im so worried about things that i dont even need to be thinking about yet, and i think "how do other people do this?" balancing everything is such a challenge and sometimes i just want to quit. I sit and wonder sometimes if all I do is really worth all I give it. If only I lived by the rule "Give it all you've got and more." Another day has come and gone, and I'm still here.I have the greatest faith that I have a purpose here and I haven't accomplished my given objective yet, so I plan on being around a while. Hopefully God sees it that way too, but who knows. they say if you want to make God laugh ...tell him your life plans :D... i have many things to conquer ... and even more to pray about.
